Hallmark welcomes Camryn Manheim and Diane Neal aboard for upcoming telefilms.
Manheim plays Julia Stiles’ business partner in “The Makeover,” a Hallmark Hall of Fame presentation, while Neal will star in “This Magic Moment,” a Hallmark Movie of the Week, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Stiles (“Dexter”) and David Walton (“Perfect Couples”) star in a modern take on George Bernard Shaw’s “Pygmalion.” Stiles’ character is a professor who runs for Congress, while Manheim plays Colleen Pickering, who enlists Elliot Doolittle (Walton), an average guy, for the next election.
Frances Fisher (“The Host”) plays Allie, Elliot’s colorful mother. C. Jay Cox (“Sweet Home Alabama”) penned “The Makeover,” which will also appear next year on ABC.
Manheim has appeared on “The Practice,” “Harry’s Law” and “Ghost Whisperer.” Neal has a recurring role on USA Network’s “Suits.”
Also, Neal will play Helen, who gets caught up in a love triangle in “This Magic Moment,” from Larry Levinson. The film centers on video store owner and budding screenwriter Clark Gable. He falls for a famous actress who is in town filming a movie, and he also has to deal with residual feelings for an old flame.
Co-stars include Vincent Spano, Travis Schmuldt, Charles Shaughnessy, Molly Burnett, Aliana Huffman and Mitchell Pink.
