Ellen DeGeneres is getting in bed with NBC. The comedian and Lauren Pomerantz, a former producer on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, have sold a script to NBC for a new, untitled single-camera comedy that focuses on an independent 32-year-old single woman.

This causes her to becomes convinced that she has  just doomed herself to live and die alone. So, naturally, she turns to her friends, family and a therapist to convince her she didn't make a huge mistake and ruin her life

Pomerantz also serves as a writer and producer on the DeGeneres' show, Ellen, will write and executive produce. Ellen will also serve as an executive producer on the Warner Bros. Television comedy.

Earlier this year, the dup sold a comedy to Fox based on the web series Couple Time.

Ellen's 10th season of her syndicated talk show debuted this week to its highest ratings since 2003.

Does this sound like a winner to you? It doesn't sound like anything I'd ever watch, unless I was undergoing the Ludovico technique.
