Oxygen announced that I’m Having Their Baby is the latest docuseries to get the green light for a second season. As Oxygen’s highest rated new series, it’s only natural that the series would be picked up for a sophomore run.
I’m Having Their Baby follows the lives of women as they make the difficult decision to put their babies up for adoption. The series shows the view of the birth mother as they dive into personal and emotional tales about giving up their child for adoption following unplanned pregnancies. Though it is a difficult choice, the show spotlights that each featured birth mother has a bright future, just like their babies.
During its first season I’m Having Their Baby attracted an average of 840,000 viewers with 327,000 women viewers between the ages of 18-34 according to Nielsen ratings. Compared to the same time slot as the prior year, this is a 65 percent increase.
Senior Vice President of Original Programming and Development for Oxygen Media says the numbers speak for themselves. “‘I’m Having Their Baby’ really resonated with Oxygen’s young, female audience. We’re excited to share more authentic and compelling stories of birth mothers and their emotional experiences with our viewers.”
There is no confirmation as to when fans can expect the show to return for its second season.
