The fall season is almost in full swing, and soon our DVRs will be working overtime to keep on top of all of the incredible new TV yet to premiere. Monday, September 17th, features a few significant new show premieres, and the return of a FOX favorite that might be the cure to their X-Factor ratings ills.
Bones - 8PM on FOX
Having survived 7 seasons, Bones returns to FOX as part of the Monday lineup. Last season, Brennan was accused of murder in a cliff hanger that has kept fans in a state of distress all through Summer break. In the Season 8 Premiere, Brennan’s Father, played by veteran actor Ryan O’Neal, helps Bones hide out from the FBI, while booth and the team race to clear her name.
The Mob Doctor – 9PM on FOX
With a debt to the mafia hanging over her head, Dr. Grace Devlin must pull double duty as private physician to the mob, as well as her more respectable position at Chicago’s Roosevelt Memorial Center. It’s been a while since we’ve seen anything this high-concept, well … not really, but this new drama might be just a few plot ticks away from being a bad sitcom if the story doesn’t hit just right.
Revolution – 10pm on NBC
NBC has put a tremendous amount of money behind the marketing of this J.J. Abrams, Eric Kripke, and Jon Favreau post-apocalyptic drama, so why did they drop it in the 10pm slot behind a singing competition? Revolution has a very strong chance at establishing the family viewing status of early LOST, and Heroes, but this timeslot could turn out the lights on Revolution.
So, what new shows will you be tuning into this season, and which of these is on your must-watch list, and why?
