After Robin Roberts took a medical leave of absence from ABC's Good Morning America, it was unknown what the show would do with the sizable hole her medical situation was creating.
Since her departure, guest hosts galore have stepped up to help out. Previously announced are the entire cast of Modern Family, Rob Lowe, Kelly Ripa, Chris Rock, Diane Sawyer, Katie Couric and Oprah Winfrey.
And now, Stephen Colbert has announced he is going to pinch hit, as well.
Colbert is no stranger to Good Morning America. In fact, he briefly worked for it as a correspondent in 1996, but only one segment of his made it to air.
Speculation is that he will be doing it without his faux-conservative character he plays on the Colbert Report.
The Comedy Central personality is the latest star to be revealed to fill in for Robin Roberts during her medical leave from ABC's morning television show, according to the Associated Press.
Roberts is preparing to undergo a bone marrow transplant. She was diagnosed with myelodisplastic syndrome in June and needed to take a leave of absence. She also famously battled cancer six years ago.
Bravo to all of these people for helping out. Does this make you more interested in Good Morning America?
