The career of Laura Prepon appears to have peaked with That '70s Show, which is unfortunate. She's a solid actress and brings more to the table than she takes off it, but she just can't seem to get her career moving in the right direction.
But maybe today is a new day.
Prepon, last seen playing Chelsa Handler for NBC, is now preparing to being locked up by Netflix.
She has joined the cast of Netfli'x original drama Orange in the New Black, according to the streaming service. The show is being developed by Weeds creator Jenji Kohan,
Orange stars Taylor Schilling as Piper, an engaged Brooklyn resident whose long-forgotten relationship with a drug dealer in college results in her arrest and detention in a federal penitentiary. Without any real-world experience to deal with her harsh new environment, Piper immerses herself in women's prison culture and creates a new life for herself with an outspoken group of inmates that become her friends.
Prepon will play a former drug runner that is the woman responsible for landing Piper in prison.
Jason Biggs will also co-stars as Piper's fiancé Larry Bloom in the 13-episode hourlong drama. Hopefully he will tweet about it.
