You say 'Goodbye', and I say 'Helo'! Helo, Helo... is set to join the cast of The CW's "Arrow!" That's right, "Battlestar Galactica" fans, Boomer's baby daddy Tahmoh Penikett has joined the expanding cast of the Green Arrow series.
The actor is set to play the right-hand man to mob boss Frank Bertinelli (Jeffrey Nordling). Penikett's got plenty of experience in the action genre, showing some sweet hand-to-hand combat ability on Fox's "Dollhouse" and military acumen in the modern classic reboot of "Battlestar Galactica." No doubt as the head goon of a crime boss, we can expect Penikett to throw down plenty of times with Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen.
Penikett joins a rapidly expanding cast of characters for the series' freshman season. As reported last week, Kyle Schmid will play The Royal Flush Gang's 'Ace,' Nordling will play mob boss Bertinelli, Jessica De Gouw will play his daughter and future Huntress Helena Bertinelli, and "Torchwood"'s John Barrowman will play an as-yet-unnamed rich and mysterious character with ties to Queen and Star City. No word on whether Penikett's role will be a one-off appearance or recurring, but with the actor's impressive resume and equally impressive action chops I would hope it would be the latter.
The CW's "Arrow" premieres on October 10th!
