Ferris Bueller has been made an offer he couldn't refuse and now is part of the Family. The Modern Family, that is.
Matthew Broderick has signed on to guest star in an upcoming epsiode of the fourth-season of ABC's hit, Modern Family. Broderick, who won a Tony for his work with Mel Brooks' The Prodcers, will play a crazy new friend of Phil (Ty Burrell) on the show.
Broderick is in the midst of a mini-comeback. He never really went away, but he was out of the public's eye for a time. But, after appearing in Tower Heist and New Year's Eve, as well as a part in Louie, maybe the comedic actor is ready to branch back out. Broderick has also appeared recently in Adventure Time and 30 Rock.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Broderick's wife, is also heading back to the small screen this season with a multiple-show arc on Glee, beginning next week.
Modern Family has also added Wedi McLendon-Cover from Reno 911 and Bridesmaids to an epsiode or two this year.
Modern Family returns Sept. 26 at 9 p.m. EST on ABC. It is not known when Broderick's episode will air.
What do you think of this? Are you excited to see Matt back in the spotlight?
