Zooey Deschanel is riding high on 'New Girl' and has decided to get deeper under the covers at FOX by producing an upcoming comedy project entitled 'Must Be Nice.'
'New Girl's Consulting Producer J. J. Philbin wrote the treatment for 'Must Be Nice,' and Deschanel believes it has got the goods. As the project stands, there is only a script commitment in place, however with Deschanel's power as Executive Producer behind it, you can wager that a Pilot will be ordered in due time.
'Must Be Nice' explores the generation gap between two women who are only 7 years apart when a single, chaotic, 27 year-old moves in with her more responsible, 34-year-old, married sister. Joining Philbin and Deschanel in producing the project are Peter Chernin, Katherine Pope and Deschanel’s Hello Giggles partners Sophia Rossi and Molly McAleer. Hello Giggles is a website for women and Rossi, McAleer and Deschanel are primed to carry their new brand to television.
J. J. Philbin has been busy; she is also Exec Producing 'High Life' from Will Reiser & Robin Reiser, sibling writers, for NBC. 'High Life' has a Put Pilot deal in development and a similar deal for 'Must Be Nice' can't be far behind.
