Parenthood is off to a strong start for its fourth season, with an engagement between Sarah (Lauren Graham) and Mark (Jason Ritter). The love and respect goes far beyond the screen as the friends gush about each other through the media.
Ritter recently told the Associated Press what it was like the first time he ever met Graham to discuss the role. "I remember I was really nervous before I started working with her," he said. "I know you can fake liking each other and having a relationship, but it's much easier if you have a ground level of liking each other."
Not only did he like Graham, but he felt a real connection to her character. As filming went on with the show, the characters grew close and "in the second season I was getting jealous of her other boyfriends," he shared.
Graham was recently seen on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno where she gushed about how much she loves her on-screen lover.
"He's the most wonderful guy and such a wonderful actor." She couldn't be happier that the academy recognized him with an Emmy award. "We feel proud, as if we're a small Olympic country who got one guy who got a medal. We got our one athlete in."
It appears that the season will be a rough one for the pair as they fight to prove their love to the Braverman family despite their age difference. It doesn't help that a certain photographer also seems a little nosey to Sarah's life and may be poking his head in where it doesn't belong.
Parenthood airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m./9c on NBC.
