In stunning news, FX has replaced the entire cast of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and replaced them with dopplegangers...sort of.
The new cast includes:
Haley Joel Osment as "Mac"
Xzibit as "Sweet Dee"
Candance Cameron as "Charlie"
Chael Sonnen as "Dennis"
and Andrew Dice Clay as "Frank
Stunning news that such an accomplished, established series would go to such lengths to freshen things up. I realize these new actors might be a little better known than the regular cast, but how can you go from Danny Devito to Andrew Dice Clay?
Good thing it is a joke.
A video can be seen on the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia facebook page, which shows the real cast watching the new intro with the new cast. This is part of the marketing for the new season and frankly, it is hilarious.
I love this show's sense of humor. FX has really done a tremendous job with their comedy lineup - Louie, Archer, The League, It's Always Sunny...each show a lot of fun, with Louie and (in my opinion) It's Always Sunny...bordering on greatness (at times, at least).
The new season of It's Always Sunny... debuts Thursday, Oct. 11 at 10 p.m. on FX.
