Mark Margolis is coming to 'American Horror Story: Asylum.'
Horror? Fear? Margolis? Seems a perfect fit. Margolis, a veteran actor who has been turning in acclaimed performances since 1976, was recently nominated for an Emmy for his villainous turn as drug-lord Hector “Tio” Salamanca on 'Breaking Bad.' He played former gang-leader Whitey Brennan on 'Blue Bloods.' Heck, Ace Ventura himself mistook him for Satan in 'Ace Ventura: Pet Detective!' The man is no stranger to making the hairs on your neck stand up. To top it off, that Emmy nomination I mentioned came from his ability to command fear and respect in 'Breaking Bad' without uttering a single word; "Tio" Salamanca was a stroke victim and could only communicate with an ominous dinging of a bell...
Creepy stuff. As I said, perfect fit.
All that we have learned so far about his role on 'American Horror Story: Asylum' is that he will play Sam Goodwin and will be a recurring character. Mayyyybe he'll be a good guy? Ah, who am I kidding?
Margolis joins other new stars being added to the FX horror story for the new season including Amy Farrington ('Hung') and David Chisum ('One Life to Live'). The highly-anticipated new season arrives on FX on October 17.
