Barry Bostwick, star of 'FDR: American Badass!' and 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show,' has signed on for a guest appearance in an upcoming episode of USA network's smash-hit 'Psych.'
Bostwick has been tallying prominent guest appearances since his turns on 'Charlie's Angels' and 'Hawaii Five-O'--those would be the ORIGINALS from the 1970s, not the warmed-over remakes. But there's something special and exciting about his appearance on 'Psych:' Bostwick has signed on for the musical episode of the upcoming season.
Earlier this summer the stars of 'Psych' announced a special two-hour musical (ala 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer') which is currently in production in Vancouver, British Columbia. Bostwick has taken the role of Armitage, a wealthy businessman and owner of a lavish theatre in Santa Barbara. Given his beginnings as leading man Brad in 'Rocky Horror Picture Show' and the unbelievable popularity of the cult hit, the smart money would be on some winks to RHPS fans in Bostwick's performance of Armitage--personally, I am hoping for a few "Dammit Janet!" deliveries.
Most recently, Bostwick starred in the over-the-top madcap comedy spoof 'FDR: American Badass!' which returned the actor to his cult B-movie roots (trailer below--warning: coarse language).
Bostwick joins other guest stars for the special 2-hour 'Psych' musical including Brooke Lyons ('2 Broke Girls') and Anthony Rapp ('Rent'). The episode will air in 'Psych's upcoming seventh season.
