Cedric the Entertainer is bringing his comedy and collection of hats to the set of '2 Broke Girls.'
The forty-eight year old comedian and regular on 'The Soul Man' will be visiting the CBS series during the upcoming season, having taken the role of Darius, son of Garrett Morris' lovable diner employee Earl.
On top of some certain character development for Earl, played by the talented Morris, Darius will likely visit his father at the diner where the series' main characters Max and Caroline work. Cedric the Entertainer's obvious face and name recognition is sure to give the series a boost and give Kat Dennings (Max) and Beth Behrs (Caroline) some new blood to play off of.
Slated for the sixth episode of the new season, Cedric is a talent that could become recurring on the series if his appearance is well-received. Lending his recognizable voice talents to the uber-popular 'Madagascar' series of films, Cedric the Entertainer has been showing his acting chops aside from his characteristic brand of stand-up over the past decade. With both Dennings and Behrs admittedly new to situation comedy, it would seem the real-life actresses could benefit from such veteran talent's mentorship on the set.
'2 Broke Girls' airs Mondays on CBS.
