Wanna spend Thanksgiving weekend with Lindsay Lohan? Anyone? Hello?
Lifetime has set a premiere date for “Liz & Dick,” which stars Lohan as Elizabeth Taylor. The telefilm is based on the true story of Taylor and Richard Burton’s love affair, during which they married and divorced twice. Grant Bowler (“True Blood” and “Lost”) plays Burton.
Larry A. Thompson (”Amish Grace”) is the executive producer, and Lloyd Kramer (Mitch Albom’s “The Five People You Meet in Heaven”) is the director. Christoper Monger (“Temple Grandin”) wrote the script.
Lohan’s biggest role may have been in “Mean Girls,” but in the ensuing years she’s been more prominent in the gossip pages. Just this past weekend, Lohan was involved in a dustup with a congressional aide over a cellphone in New York City. Christian LaBella, 25, was originally charged with misdemeanor assault, but the charge was soon dropped. Now Lohan and LaBella have filed harassment complaints against each other, according to New York Daily News.
Lohan also crashed a Porsche into a dump truck during the filming of “Liz & Dick,” then a week later she was reportedly treated for exhaustion and dehydration by parademics.
“Liz & Dick” premieres Sunday, Nov. 25, at 9 p.m. on Lifetime.
