Adding to its list of guest stars in future episodes, CBS' new Sherlock Holmes drama Elementary has landed Lisa Edelstein, best known for her role as Dr. Lisa Cuddy on FOX's hit House.
Popping in for Elementary's seventh episode, Edelstein will play Heather Vanowen, the dynamic CEO of a high-end public relations consultancy. Described as clever and self-assured, Heather crosses paths with Jonny Lee Miller's Sherlock Holmes during his investigation of a deadly bombing that appears to have been aimed at her company.
Although her stint on House from 2004 until 2011 was her most recognizable role, Edelstein has appeared in numerous television series over the years, including Seinfeld, The West Wing, Sports Night, Ally McBeal, Felicity, The Practice, and The Good Wife. She has also lent her voice to animated projects such as Superman: The Animated Series, American Dad!, King of the Hill, and Justice League. Most recently, she co-starred in Lifetime's made-for-television movie Blue-Eyed Butcher.
Starring Jonny Lee Miller (Trainspotting) as Sherlock Holmes and Lucy Liu (Charlie's Angels) as Dr. Joan Watson, Elementary's series premiere last Thursday placed second for new drama series with 13.4 million total viewers and a 3.1 demo rating. In the upcoming fourth episode of the series, Craig Bierko will guest-star as the COO of a top Wall Street financial firm who is involved in a murder investigation and Molly Price (Third Watch) will also appear as his trusted executive secretary.
Will you still be watching Elementary at that point?
