Okay, don't answer that. But I love her and you should too.
Sure, audiences today know her as Cameron from 'Glee' with the Predator hairstyle, but Goldberg has got the goods when it comes to dramatic performances. Don't believe me? My buddy Oscar disagrees with you.
And the latest news is that Goldberg will be getting creepy with the cast of '666 Park Avenue' on ABC. In case you missed it, '666 Park Avenue' just got a very favourable review from my fellow TVRager, the difficult-to-impress Joel Thomas; the series seems to have found itself a formula for success and the inclusion of a proven talent like Goldberg can only help matters as the show establishes itself this inaugural season.
Beyond the Oscar win for 'Ghost' in 1991, Goldberg was the biggest actress on the planet for a period in the 1990s. The 'Sister Act' comedies were wildly popular and she recurred as the sage-like Guinan on 'Star Trek: The Next Generation.' Could we see a Guinan-like oracle appear on '666 Park Avenue?' It would seem that the tone of the show will give her a renewed chance to show off her creepy side rather than the outrageous comedy we all love. We'll find out when the ninth episode of the series airs later this season.
In the episode, Rachel Taylor's character Jane seeks out Maris Elder (played by Goldberg) who is a mysterious shut-in resident at the Drake. Elder then assists Jane figure out her role in the supernatural happenstances of the series through a form of hypnosis.
I can't be the only one who read that bit about hypnosis and thought of Oda Mae:
If you missed the well-recieved pilot to '666 Park Avenue,' you can catch up on ABC.com. You can catch Goldberg on the series come episode nine.
I think an address with "666" in it is fitting for a fright like her. But, I see from the pic (above), they have her crossdressing as a woman: feminine clothes, lady's wig, jewelry, make up... draw some eyebrows on her and she could pass. I'm still scared, but Happy Halloweenie!

Wow. She's been nominated for 84 awards, won 41 of them and got 2nd place (??) for another of them...that's a nearly 50% win ratio. I wonder just how many other actors/actresses can make that claim...either the number of noms *or* the number of wins. I'd be willing to bet not very many. I like Whoopi. First of all, there's the name :-) I've enjoyed her comedy offerings and her roles in Ghost and ST:TNG. I'm looking forward to seeing her in 666 Park Avenue.
