Finally, the quest is complete. Following an exhaustive search, the role of Anna Nicole Smith in the Lifetime original movie about her life has been filled by actress Agnes Bruckner.

Entitled The Anna Nicole Story, the made-for-television film will follow the true life story of Anna Nicole Smith, who grew up in a small Texas town as a pretty but plain girl named Vicky Lynn Hogan. Inspired by Marilyn Monroe, Vicky Lynn transformed herself into Anna Nicole, a voluptuous and desirable Playboy pin-up and Guess Jeans model. Determined to be noticed by any means necessary, Vicky's dreams of fame and celebrity come at a steep price for both her and her beloved son, Danny.
Written by John Rice and Joe Batteer, the project will be executive produced by Craig Zadan, Neil Meron, and Judith Verno.
Starting her career in commercials and television pilots, Bruckner has been seen in minor roles in films such as The Glass House, The Woods, and Vacancy 2: The First Cut, as well as TV series like 24, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and Private Practice. She will next be seen in a film with Billy Bob Thornton and Eva Longoria called The Baytown Outlaws.
Judging from a bunch of pictures I just browsed through—ahh, the perils of this job—it looks like they did a good job with the casting, although she may have to gain some weight. Do you have any interest in a biopic about Anna Nicole Smith?
