Netflix to give away walk-on roles on 'Arrested Development'
Six lucky fans will win walk-on roles when Arrested Development returns on Netflix.
The company announced the contest Wednesday. “The Bluths have walked on so many people we thought it was only fair to let a few fans walk on them,” Mitch Hurwitz, creator and executive producer, said in a press release. “Come see behind-the-scenes and for God’s sake, please don’t touch anything!”
Starting Wednesday, U.S. residents can enter by creating a video that is less than two minutes long, photo, original artwork, song or another creation. “Arrested Development’s” cast and producers will then pick the winners based on creativity, distinctiveness and show relevance . Fans can enter via Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr using the hashtag #BluthWalkOn.
The winners get an expense-paid trip to Los Angeles, visit the set and participate in a walk-on role. The contest ends Tuesday, Oct. 16. Visit http://youregonnagetsomewalkons.com/ for more information on how to enter.
“Arrested Development” aired on Fox for three seasons. Netflix will showcase the fourth, long-rumored season on its subscription video-streaming service in spring 2013.
Here is a video featuring Michael Cera (who plays George Michael Bluth on the show) announcing the contest. “I can’t wait for the walk-on contest,” Cera kind of says:
