Daniel Craig makes a new friend at 'SNL' (video)

The current James Bond showed his lighter side during promos for this week’s “Saturday Night Live,” which he will host.

Daniel Craig appeared alongside cast member Taran Killam, who appears dressed as Bond holding a gun. Craig tells him “I don’t like guns,” and walks off. Killam then shot himself in the foot like Shy Ronnie.

In another promo, Killam tells the Brit a first-time host goes through a kissing initiation with the fifth-newest cast member, which Killam claims is him. Craig instead wants Vanessa Bayer. I’d personally take Nasim Pedrad, but I’m not sure of her seniority in the cast.

There’s another where Killam is impressed Craig isn’t The Man of Few Words, and pokes his tummy and apparently finds Craig’s rock-hard abs to his liking.

They also do a montage of funny antics like wearing wigs together with cheesy ’80s music. Killiam calls it “double-oh heaven,” which apparently is the straw to break Craig’s break, and he takes off.

The next James Bond film “Skyfall” opens Nov. 9, featuring an Adele-sung theme that debuted on Thursday.

Craig hosts “Saturday Night Live” this Saturday, Oct. 6. Muse will be the musical guest.
