NYPD Blue vet joins Arrow

Arrow fans (or those of you that think you might be fans when it debuts Wednesday night), get ready for a little Blue in your life.

NYPD Blue alum Currie Graham has signed up to lead the Royal Flush Gang, which is a crime syndicate that features  villains who fashion themselves after playing cards. Graham will play Derek Reston A.K.A. King on the CW series and go head-to-head with billionaire hero Oliver Queen (The Green Arrow), who returns home after being away for five years.

In the series, Derek's alter ego was Ace. In the CW series though, that character is named Kyle Reston and played by Kyle Schmid (House of Lies, Fringe).

"The Royal Flush Gang was the most outlandish villains from the comics, but they turned out to be our most grounded villains," said executive producerAndrew Kreisberg. "The relationship that Oliver has with King, the leader of the gang, we're really proud of it."

Arrow premieres this Wednesday at 8 p.m. EST on the CW. Will you be tuning in? Did the job the CW did with Smallville give you hope for this series or is it a black mark in your eyes? They need to make a Nightwing series. That would rule.
