Perhaps as a sign that America’s fascination with the Garden State is coming to an end, “Made in Jersey” has been canceled after only two episodes.
The unscripted “Undercover Boss” will return to its timeslot, 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2. “CSI: NY” will take “Jersey’s” 9 p.m. timeslot as of Friday, and “Blue Bloods” will air at 10 p.m. as usual.
Until “Undercover Boss” returns, repeats of “NCIS” and “Hawaii Five-o” will air at 8 p.m.
“Jersey” debuted Sept. 28 with a weak 1.1 rating among 18-49 year old adults and 7.8 million viewers. That was the network’s lowest-rating for the night, despite being sandwiched between “CSI: NY” and “Blue Bloods,” and that rating matched Fox’s “Fringe” and a “Last Resort” rerun on ABC in the demographic.
Dana Calvo created the series, and Kevin Falls was executive producer.
“Made in Jersey” had also been plagued by poor reviews. It starred stunning British actress Janet Montgomery as attorney Martina Garretti, who dealt with tension with her Manhattan colleagues, because, see, she was from New Jersey.
The original Jersey juggernaut “Jersey Shore” is in its last season, and its recent season premiere was down nearly 40 percent from the opener of last season.
