Your enthusiasm might be a little higher than mine for this story, as I think 30 Rock is hugely overrated, as is Tina Fey. I cannot stand 30 Rock, even though I love Tracy Morgan.
Ron Weiner, a co-executive producer at 30 Rock, has sold two new comedies to NBC. Yippie!
The new shows from the Emmy-nominated writer include a workplace comedy about a difficult work-marriage where two people who are totally different have to manage their team together and come to realize that they need one another to succeed.
Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope from Chernin Entertainment will executive produce the comedy, which is being developed at 20th Century Fox.
The other show will be an adaptation of the British comedy Whites. Whites starred Alan Davis as a celebrity chef who is out of touch and doesn't realize that he isn't quite the star that he once was. The show is set up at Universal Television, with Howard Klein of 3 Arts executive producing.
Fey recently signed a new four-year deal to continue developing small-screen projects for Universal Television.
30 Rock executive producer Matt Hubbard is attached to executive produce Community's Donald Glover's semi-autobiographical comedy for NBC.
