Anyone who has read anything I have written about Parks and Recreation or Nick Offerman knows that I have a big man crush on the dashing gentleman with the best mustache on television since Tom Selleck. Ron Swanson is one of the best characters in recent television history and should have spin-off after spin-off until Offerman passes away at the age of 116 from exhaustion from cutting down a forest.
And while Offerman, similar to Swanson, enjoys grilling meet and doing woodworking. However, apparently the Renaissance man also enjoys playing the guitar and singing. David Letterman found this out first hand when Offerman visited the Late Show with David Letterman last night and performed The Rainbow Song, which he composed for his wife Megan Mullally's 50th birthday.
Offerman whipped out a “conveniently-placed” guitar, and then began.
“My first tip for prosperity is to engage in romantic love,” Offerman said.
Highlights from the song included “I’ve got my Cialis so I will not fail” and “You’re the one that I want to impale.” Offerman also gave his top tip for prosperity: making love. You cannot avoid the leprechaun romance, apparently.
Below is a clip from the show:
