Apparently FX has decided that the biggest thing missing from the Sons of Anarchy was a real badass. And to that end, they have signed up veteran rocker Dave Navarro as a guest star.
Navarro will play a Biz Lats gang member who is tied to "companionator" Nero Padilla (Jimmy Smits). And his band, Jane's Addiction, will cover "Sympathy for the Devil" for the season five finale.
While I think it is ridiculousness that Dave Navarro is going to guest, the cover news is cool at least. Apparently just having tattoos makes you eligible to guest star? I'm not really sure how that works, but nothing about Navarro jumps out to me as tough dude who you should not mess with.
So far this year, Sons of Anarchy has had Ashley Tisdale play a prostitute for a few episodes and Joel McHale is going to play a conman in an upcoming story arc. Walton Goggins, who worked with creator Kurt Sutter before on The Shield, also appeared last week as a transvestite escort, where he got to do some S&M and blackmail. Nice work if you can get it.
Sons of Anarchy airs on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. EST on FX.
