"How I Met Your Mother"'s Autumn of Break-Ups continues tonight, while the series inches closer to the big reveal of the titular mom-to-be.
Star Josh Radnor claims that he and his HIMYM co-stars no little about who will portray his character Ted's future wife. But that doesn't mean he plans to shy away from giving his opinion on casting. The actor told Entertainment Weekly during set visit last week, "I don’t think it should be any sort of stunt casting. I think it would be more interesting to have this fresh, exciting face that Ted has never seen before and neither have people who watch the show.”
Radnor is insistent that the less he knows about the big reveal the better for all involved. “It’s kind of better for me not to know. It serves me to be a little more naïve and just play that truthfully,” he said.
With the big reveal taking place "A Little Further Down The Road," little is also known about what's in store down the road on the other side of the camera. Negotiations are ongoing about whether the CBS hit will continue after this season. Alyson Hannigan told EW, "It just feels like a big question mark." Showrunners Carter Bays and Craig Thomas continue to treat the current season as the series' swan song.
In tonight's episode, expect Marshall and Lily to put their friends to the test for the coveted role of godparent for the new baby, while relationships continue to disintegrate following Quinn and Barney's break-up. Who will split next?
