January 14th looks to be a full moon, or at least it will be in the SyFy network's eyes. The genre-friendly cable network has announced this as the premiere date for the third season of its original series "Being Human."
The series, based on the UK drama of the same name, revolves around vampire Aidan (Sam Witwer), ghost Sally (Meaghan Rath) and werewolf Josh (Sam Huntington), roommates and reluctant members of the supernatural community.
In addition to a premiere date, the network announced casting news, from promoting recurring Kristen Hager (who plays Nora, girlfriend of werewolf Josh) to series regular to a litany of guest-stars. The third season will bring around notable actors reprising old characters and introducing new ones, including Mark Pellegrino ("Lost", "Supernatural") as vampire/cop James Bishop, Kyle Schmid ("Copper") as Aidan's "son" Henry Durham, Amy Aquino ("ER"), Xander Berkeley ("Nikita"), and Bobby Campo ("The Final Destination").
The second season left off on a bit of a cliffhanger, with Aidan buried alive after his and Josh's attempts to off their respective makers, unable to help Sally in her escape from a state of limbo. The series' second season averaged 2.12 million viewers a week, building off its respectable first season numbers and cementing it as a notable hit for the cable network.
