Another League star heading to Modern Family

Mant....uhhh...Apparently the producers of ABC's Modern Family picked up the third season of FX's The League when it came out on DVD last week, as they have now signed an additional member of the fantasy football-based comedy to appear this season.

We reported last week that Paul Scheer, who plays Dr. Andre, was going to play a Costco manager who interacts with Claire (Julie Bowen) and Gloria (Sofia Vergara). Now news has leaked that Jason Mantzoukas, who plays slime bag Rafi, is going to appear in Modern Family's fourth season as a jeans designer who is Haley's (Sarah Hyland) co-worker and boyfriend.

I love Rafi. He is such a great dirt bag and he is arguably, alongside Taco, the breakout star on The League. Rafi is homicidal and always has a scheme to get rich quick, which has led to him making porno movies in Andre's apartment before.

Mantzoukas also co-starred with Sacha Baron Cohen in The Dictator this summer and he cohosts the awesome podcast “How Did This Get Made?” If you have not listened to it before, please do so.

The League boys will be joining Matthew Broderick, Wendi McLendon-Coven and Shelley Long as guest stars this season.

Modern Family airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.

Or maybe they have watched Childrens Hospital, where Scheer, Mantzoukas, and Rob Hueble have appeared in addition to roles on Modern Family
