An alum of “GCB” may soon come between the main couple on ABC’s “Private Practice.”
Marisol Nichols will guest star on the medical drama spinoff of “Grey’s Anatomy,” which will end after this season.
The exact details on her role are being kept quiet, but she will appear in an episode entitled “The World According to Jake,” which suggests it will be about Benjamin Bratt’s character Jake. Perhaps, then, she will cause trouble between Jake and Addison (Kate Walsh). The episode will air in mid-November, so we will all have to wait until then to see.
“Private Practice” only received orders for 13 episodes for its sixth season, and Walsh was to leave after that, and now it appears the series will end at that point.
Nichols has appeared on “The Gates,” “24” and “Cold Case,” and portrayed a single housewife on “GCB,” a comedy drama also known as “Good Christian Bitches” (and later “Good Christian Belles”). “GCB” was a midseason replacement on ABC in 2012 that was cancelled after two months. Perhaps most memorably to some, she played Audrey Griswold in “Vegas Vacation” in 1997 alongside Chevy Chase, Beverly D’Angelo, Randy Quaid and Ethan Embry.
