Showtime's House of Lies has added two new cast members as it gears up for its second season.
The drama, which stars Emmy nominee Don Cheadle, has signed on Larenz Tate (Rescue Me) and Nia Long (Third Watch) for recurring roles, the network announced today.
Tate will play Marty's (Cheadle) younger brother, an unambitious activist. Long will play a fellow consultant who clashes with Marty, a former classmate.
Tate and Long have worked together in the past, in the 1997 feature Love Jones. Cheadle also worked with Tate before, in the 2004 drama Crash.
House of Lies is a dramatic comedy that is based on the book "House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Then Tell You the Time" by former Booz Allen Hamilton Consultant Martin Kihn. It deals with management consultants who stop at nothing to get the deal done.
Marty works at Galweather & Stearn, the #2 management consultancy in the U.S. The series deals with their competition with Kinsley, the #1 ranked firm in the country.
I did not get to see the first season, as I was moving, but I was definitely interested. Is it any good? What do you think of Tate and Long joining the team?
Season two of House of Lies premieres Jan. 13 on Showtime.
