Star of the short-lived sitcom 'Breaking In' on FOX, certified handsome fella Bret Harrison has teamed up with actor/writer/producer Dan Levy to write and produce a multi-camera hybrid comedy for ABC.
Aside from 'Breaking In,' which ran for a season and a half, Harrison is known for his recurring roles on 'Reaper' and 'V.' His writing partner, Dan Levy, went from being a stand-up comic during college to writing films and television series like 'Pretty Wild' and acting in the series 'My Long Distance Relationship' and 'Laugh-Track Mash-Ups.'
While Levy has previously written material that he has also starred in, Deadline.com reports that it is only Harrison out of the duo who will be starring in the multi-camera comedy, titled 'Married with Roommates.' The series will follow two couples at very different points in their relationships living together in the same house. Both Harrison and Levy will act as Executive Producers on the show, as well.
Harrison has attempted to transition from actor to producer in the past, selling a multi-camera project about district attorneys to CBS in 2010. Be it because of his role on 'Breaking In' or otherwise, the project never materialized. Now, having teamed with 'Whitney' writer Levy, Harrison's luck seems primed to turn for the better.
ABC Studios will produce the pilot of 'Married with Roommates,' adding to their slate of multi-camera sitcoms in 2013. Check back with TVRage for more information as casting for the series unfolds.
