Emily Thorne's rogues gallery continues to expand, this time heading south of the border. The ABC Sunday night hit "Revenge" has signed on Joaquim de Almeida in a guest role.
The Latino Phil Hartman will play Salvador Grobet, suave and cunning Central American investor in Grayson Global, the company which served to frame the father of Amanda Clarke (Emily VanCamp) in a terrorist plot. Grobet is set to appear in the ninth episode of the intriguing primetime soap.
The veteran actor has quite the lengthy resume spanning the small screen, the big screen, even video games. In film, he has appeared in "Desperado" and Steven Soderbergh's biopic of Che Guevara "Che." On the small screen, he is perhaps best remembered as the big bad in the third season of "24," while also appearing guest roles on "Parenthood" and "The Mentalist." Astute "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" players may remember that Czerny and de Almeida have teamed together in the past. Both played villains in Harrison Ford's "Clear and Present Danger" back in 1994, Czerny opposing Ford's Jack Ryan within the CIA while de Almeida faced him in Colombia.
Most of the actor's notable roles have been as villains, so it's likely that he will be the latest complication in Emily Thorne/Amanda Clarke's revenge plot. Will he be in the infamous Grayson Global staff photo, or will he throw a wrench in the works as Emily pursues another target?
