The Price is Right is one of the longest-running games shows on television. It’s a staple in American culture, especially since its revamp to attract a younger audience. Today, The Price is Right: Celebrity Edition featured five celebs competing for cash to support their favorite charities. Jenny McCarthy, Chris Daughtry, Heidi Klum, Neil Patrick Harris and rapper Snoop Dogg took a stab at their favorite games for a good cause.
Snoop Dogg took stage and came out on top, earning $72,585 for his favorite charity. Just which charity was Snoop Dogg competing for? The Snoop Youth Football League, a group for adolescence to keep kids involved in sports and off the streets. Imagine what the league can do with all the cash- new uniforms, playing fields, maybe even sponsoring more teams?
The rapper was ecstatic to be part of the show, much like the other contestants. He grew up watching The Price is Right and dreamed of a time when he could be on the show. “This is like one of my favorite shows,” he told CBS. “As a kid watching, coming home from school, even acting sick and didn’t want to go to school and just watching The Price is Right.”
Wait a second- skipping school to watch The Price is Right? I don’t think you’ll find a bigger fan, unless you talk to that guy I randomly met one day with a tattoo of the logo on his arm..
This wasn’t Snoop Dogg’s first visit to the set either, the rapper makes visits anytime he’s at CBS studios and the show is in production. What do you think his favorite game is? Plinko maybe? Doesn’t everyone love that game?
