A star of the “American Pie” movies will play a WME talent agent in a Fox pilot presentation.
Chris Klein (“Wilfred”) will play Brad in Fox’s untitled Mark Wahlberg- Steve Levinson presentation.
The project is based on a tell-all blog LifestyleLemonaid.com by Nikki Joel about her marriage to Brandt. Erin Richards (“Breaking In”) will play his wife Jackie, a 30-something mother, wife and friend.
Brad is described as a 36-year-old construction foreman and ex-Navy man who fancies himself as America’s last real man.
The project was in development at HBO for two years, and Fox gave it a pilot presentation order in September. HBO will actually handle production on the show.
Wahlberg and Levinson produced HBO’s “Entourage,” which finished up last year. They also recently sold a drama to NBC.
Jordon Nardino (“Desperate Housewives”) will write the script and also executive produce with Wahlberg, Levinson, Nikki Joel and Wayne Carmona. Production is scheduled to begin in mid-November in Los Angeles.
Klein (who has been recurring on FX’s comedy “Wilfred”) also recently guest starred on Fox’s “Raising Hope.”
Klein is repped by ICM Partners, Brillstein and Sloane Offer.
Richards, who has also appeared on “Being Human,” is repped by WME and Magnolia Entertainment.
