Hurricane Sandy caused a lot of damage, but Jimmy Kimmel cannot be stopped. The comedian has announced that his show is taping tonight as planned. He is on location this week in Brooklyn, filming at the Brooklyn Academy of Music's Harvey Theater, but had to cancel last night due to the storm. Tonight he is back in full force, with guests Howard Stern (!), Tracy Morgan and musical guest Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings. Damn, that is a loaded show. I am not usually up that late, but this bad boy is going to DVR. Stern and Kimmel are very close personal friends and I always enjoy their appearances on each other's programs.
For the rest of this week, Kimmel is scheduled to welcome Chris Rock, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert and David Letterman. Looks like the DVR is going to be busy all week.
Last night, fellow late night hosts David Letterman and Jimmy Fallon taped their shows without audiences, as a safety precaution. Fallon has announced that his show will return tonight, with lunatic Donald Trump, Andy Cohen and musical guest Trey Anastasio. No word at this point on Letterman.
New York City is still struggling to get back to working order, as the subways and bridges are still shut down. If you live in the area, please be safe.
