'Jersey Shore' house still standing in hurricane wake

Sleep easy tonight, friends: in the wake of the devastation wrought by Hurricane Sandy, the "Jersey Shore" house is safe and sound.

Seaside Heights

The 'Frankenstorm' left much of the east coast ravaged, including flooding and wind damage to Seaside Heights, the neighborhood that the MTV reality show's vacation home resides in. However, according to reports, the vacation house still stands relatively untouched in comparison to the area around it.

Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi told MTV, "Sandy destroyed Seaside, our second home. It's devastating to see our boardwalk and favorite spots ruined. My prayers go out to everyone affected by the storm."

The town's signature boardwalk was torn apart by the high winds and heavy rain that the hurricane brought, while also leaving many of the homes and businesses in the area submerged in water. Some of the more shocking sights included a piece of the famed Star Jet roller coaster hanging in the Atlantic Ocean and approximately 50 feet of Funtown Pier completely collapsed.

Reality stars of the MTV series expressed shock at the devastation and pledged their support in rebuilding efforts. "My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by Hurricane Sandy, especially our friends and family in Seaside Heights," Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio said. "A huge thank you to all the men and women who have been working around the clock to protect and help everyone, true heroes!"

"Over the last few years, it feels like Seaside Heights has become my second home," Vinny Guadagnino said. "My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who was affected by this disaster in Seaside and all across the Northeast. I'm here to support in any way I can."

So I guess we can rule the hurricane out as an act of God... or at least not that of a kind and just one.

The only good thing that could've come from this storm is their house getting wiped out. Too bad they weren't there when the storm hit.
