Mr. Burns endorses Mitt Romney

President Barack Obama can have Colin Powell, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Will Smith, Bill Gates, Will Ferrell, 50 Cent, Usher, Ron Jeremy, Muhammad Ali, Ben Affleck, Robert Downey Jr., David Geffen, Wolfgang Puck, Warren Buffett, Derek Jeter and Bill Cosby endorse him (to name a few), but today Mitt Romney landed the biggest endorsement in the game: Montgomery Burns.

The Simpsons have released their first campaign add, a comedic effort from Mr. Burns and the boys at the Springfield Republican Party. Burns says that sure, Romney has said some dumb things, but the biggest one that can derail the whole campaign is what Romney did to poor Seamus.

Not that Sheamus, the Seamus that Romney took on vacation in 1983.

"Apparently while on vacation, old Mitt strapped his mutt to the roof of his car for a brief 650-mile jaunt," Burns said. Burns then brought "Seamus" out to give his side.

"What's that?" Burns asked the dog. "You liked being tied to the roof of the car because it allowed you to see more of this great land of ours and it's wonderful natural resources ... ripe for drilling and mining and exploiting."

Seamus has the chance to select his candidate of choice: a Romney impersonator with a steak, or an Obama impersonator with broccoli.

Check out Seamus' reaction, and the commercial, here:

Yeah.  8 months of work for 2 minutes should be funny.  >.<
