Handsome Brit James D'Arcy ('Cloud Atlas,' 'Master & Commander: The Far Side of the World') has won the male lead opposite Chloe Sevigny ('Big Love,' 'The Brown Bunny') in the upcoming A&E pilot entitled 'Those Who Kill.'
'Those Who Kill' is an American adaptation of a Danish series, focusing on Detective Catherine Jensen (played by Sevigny) and brilliant forensic profiler Thomas Schaffer (D'Arcy). Both characters possess a deep understanding of the serial killers that they hunt, adding a thrilling psychological component to the usual procedural police drama.
D'Arcy's character Thomas is described as a handsome and intellectual psych professor whose doctoral thesis work focuses on serial killers, their behaviours and their motivations. Sevigny's Jensen is the less eccentric of the pair, which will be a departure for the diminutive blonde actress, famous for taking on psychologically challenging roles.
Glen Morgan wrote the script for the A&E pilot (known for writing feature films such as 'Final Destination' and 'Willard') which will be directed by Joe Carnahan ('The A-Team,' 'The Grey').
D'Arcy's 'Cloud Atlas' is in theatres now. Stick with TVRage for more as casting for A&E's 'Those Who Kill' develops.
