Friday night saw ABC win the demos on the back of two premieres, while CBS won total viewers as it seemingly does every night.
Last Man Standing and the Reba McEntire fronted Malibu Country debuted quite strong (for Friday), besting what Shark Tank had been pulling down in the 8pm slot. Speaking of Shark Tank, its move to 9pm has done nothing but good, seeing the demos go from a 1.8 to a 2.3 in one week. 20/20 also rose. All in all, a terrific night for ABC.
The Hurricane Sandy telethon broadcast on NBC drew pretty weak numbers, but to be fair, the event was simulcast on multiple other NBC owned stations as well, splitting the audience. Anyway, I doubt anyone really had ratings in mind when scheduling the program. Lead out Grimm suffered a decent drop, as did Dateline.
Kitchen Nightmares rose a little from its disastrous premiere numbers, but still isn't doing well. Fringe also went up, but the ratings really don't matter anymore, what with the series finale two months away and all. The season premiere of Undercover Boss made big gains from its last season finale, but really didn't do that well. The procedural double threat of CSI: NY and Blue Bloods once again posted awful demos and great totals. Over on the CW, America's Next Top Model matched last week's not so good number, while Nikita went up a little, avoiding three straight weeks of series lows. The network continues to suffer on Fridays.
