Get ready to feel the Burn, America. For a seventh time.
USA has given the green light to a seventh season of Burn Notice, one of the best-rated original series on the network. The spy drama will see 13 new episodes in its seventh season, which will push its past the century mark. Congrats on that.
Burn Notice ended its sixth season (the first half, at least) averaging nearly 5 million viewers. It was paired with Suits and the two shows helped USA finish with solid summer numbers.
“Burn Notice is like a fine wine that gets better with age,” said USA Network co-presidents Chris McCumber and Jeff Wachtel in a statement. “Delivering high-octane action, gripping drama and nearly 7 million viewers for the mid-season finale, this veteran series is a proven staple of our portfolio.”
The series stars Jeffrey Donovan, the legendary Bruce Campbell, Coby Bell and Gabrielle Anwar.
The new season will begin airing in 2013. The rest of season six begins tomorrow night at 9 p.m.
My wife will love this news - she is a huge fan of the series, to the extent that she is always watching it on Netflix. I do not love the series, but it certainly is not bad.
