Taylor Swift will continue dealing with “The X Factor” this week.
Strangely, following Thursday’s broadcast, the Fox press site announced that the female star would perform on the show Thursday, Nov. 15, to debut the song “State of Grace” from her new album “Red.” One would expect a bigger hubbub for a performance like this.
UK boy band (and alums of the UK version of the show) One Direction performed “Live While We’re Young” and “Little Things” (not the song by fellow Brits Bush) on the Nov. 8 show.
Swift also played “The X Factor UK” before the release of her album “Red,” playing “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” Last week she performed on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars: All Stars.”
“Red” sold 1.2 million copies in its opening week, which made her the first female performer in the SoundScan era to sell over one million copies in a single week multiple times. The album moved about 344,000 albums in its second week. It was a 72 percent drop in sales, but still enough to be the top album for the second week in a row.
The show featuring Swift will broadcast Thursday at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
