E!'s Fashion Police Expands to One Hour

E!’s “Fashion Police” started as a critique of Hollywood’s award show fashion, but it morphed into a weekly examination of what's hot and what’s not in the fashion industry. Joan and Melissa Rivers originally hosted the show, but over the years the commentary changed. Today Kelly Osbourne, Joan Rivers, Giuliana Rancic and George Kotsiopuolos make jabs at celebs’ poor fashion choices, or rave about their flawless choices through videos and photos.

In the past, “Fashion Police” was a weekly half-hour show. Due to the success and growing fan base, E! granted the program a full hour starting this spring. This means even more jokes and fashion each week!

“Fashion police was an instant hit as a weekly series and given the wealth of material it’s natural for us to expand to an hour to bring viewers an even bigger dose of pop culture through Joan and the gang’s unique comedic voices,” said Lisa Berger, President of Entertainment Programming via statement.

Fans can expect a few changes to the show, including new segments such as “Street Style” and “Guess Me By My Style.” Viewers can test their star fashion sense along with “Guess Me by My Style.” Rivers will even take the time to visit a different designer’s show room each week to show viewers what stars may be wearing in the future. Some segments will even feature up-and-coming designers.

With awards season just beginning and a number of highly anticipated movies for the spring and summer, it’s the perfect time to expand the show. E!’s new “Fashion Police” premieres March 9 at 10p.m./9c.
