Liza Lapira and Rebel Wilson are ready for some super fun.
Lapira (“Don’t Trust The B#$%* in Apt. 23”) has been cast as a star opposite Wilson on her new ABC comedy pilot “Super Fun Night.”
The project, which Conan O’Brien executive produced, was originally developed as a multi- camera sitcom for CBS last season. After the show was not picked up, it was then picked up by ABC and changed to a single-camera comedy.
Written by and starring “Bridesmaids” participant Wilson, “Super Fun Night” follows a trio of nerdy female friends: Kimmie (Wilson), Helen-Alice (Lapira) and Marika (Edi Patterson) on their mission for “super fun” each Friday night.
Wilson has also appeared in “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” and “Pitch Perfect.”
Lapira plays Kimmie’s super-smart bestie and roommate. Jenny Slate played the role in the original pilot.
Lapira signed a talent deal with ABC in July, hence her inclusion in this project. She was a regular on the first season of “Don’t Trust The B#$%* “- and continues to recur this season. She also played Kianna in the film “21.”
She has also appeared on Fox’s” Traffic Light” and “Dollhouse,” and on CBS’ “NCIS.”
