Nick Cannon. Love him or hate him, odds are you know who the guy is - even if it is just as Mr. Mariah Carey.
MTV2 has an opinion of Cannon and it is apparently a good one. The network announced that it is bringing his Wild 'n Out series back to life. Wild 'n Out is an improv comedy sketch series that ran on MTV from 2005-2007 and was created by Cannon. On the show, he fronted one of the two teams of comics and celebrity guests. Stars who appeared on the show included Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Lil' Wayne, Serena Williams and Tyra Banks, to name a few.
"I get asked everyday when Wild 'N Out will be back," Cannon said. "I'm thrilled to announce that the show will be making its long-awaited return very soon -- bigger and better. With our show's original cast, everyone from Kevin Hart to Katt Williams, Affion Crockett and Taran Killam becoming household names, I am looking forward to working with MTV2 as we work to introduce the biggest comedic stars of tomorrow with the return of Wild 'N Out."
The series will premiere next year with mostly new faces.
"Building on our long-standing relationship with Nick Cannon, we are ecstatic to welcome his creative genius back to the MTV family," MTV2 senior vice president of programming and production Paul Ricci said. "The remixed Wild 'N Out will deliver a high-energy, clever and hilarious addition to MTV2's original programming lineup."
