'Jersey Shore' alum gets MTV talk show

Just when you thought it was safe to return to the boardwalk...

MTV has announces its third Jersey Shore spinoff, as Vinny Guadagnino will be hosting The Show With Vinny, a talk show that will feature Vinny interviewing celebrities at his Staten Island home, while his family interacts with them. I am not making this up.

"Vinny's unique mix of humor, intelligence, curiosity and heart make him the perfect choice for this genre busting take on the interview format," said Chris Linn, MTV executive vice president of programming and head of production. "As the lives of the Jersey Shore cast evolve, we are excited to explore new ground while still delivering the laughs and surprises that fans have come to expect from the franchise."

MTV has previously put out The Pauly D Project and Snooki & JWoww as spin-offs. Jersey Shore is finishing its sixth and final season currently and still draws the best ratings at the network, even though the numbers are down drastically from where they once were.

If we had to see any more of the Jersey Shore crew, I am glad they went with Vinny. He seemed like the most likable and sensible of the entire cast. The show’s concept sounds horrible, but who knows.
