For the first Wednesday in quite awhile, FOX won the 18-49 demo, although CBS remained on top with total viewers, as they always seem to.
Without The Voice to compete with, The X-Factor rose 12% for FOX. On CBS, Survivor dropped 7%. Criminal Minds matched last week, while CSI rose a small amount. ABC's lineup didn't have a great night, with The Middle dropping 7%, The Neighbors dipping by 10%, Suburgatory down 17% to tie a season low, and Nashville matching its series low. The lone bright spot was of course Modern Family, which held on to its spot as the top demo performer of the night.
NBC's Wednesday night schedule continues to draw horrific demos, with the season premiere of Whitney only managing a 1.4. For the season premiere. Most shows drop big after the first new episode, so expect Whitney to hit 0.9 by mid-January. Guys With Kids did even worse, bringing in a 1.3 demo. SVU tied its series low of 1.6, while Chicago Fire fell a staggering 22% from last week and also hit 1.6. I guess we start calling NBC Wednesday's "Must Miss TV". :rimshot:
As for the CW, Arrow dropped a little, but still remains the network's crown jewel for the new season. Lead out Supernatural also matched last week's season high.
