Michael Bay's anticipated pirates series is gradually taking shape.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Starz has added several new cast members to their eight-episode "Black Sails" series: Australian actor Luke Arnold (HBO's "The Pacific"), Zach McGowan ("Shameless"), and Jessica Parker Kennedy ("The Secret Circle").
The swashbuckling action series revolves around the legendary Captain Flint and his crew, some twenty years before the events in Robert Louis Stevenson's classic "Treasure Island" novel. Flint and his crew will clash with a rival pirate captain and his shipmates, though few other details are known of the series’ plot as it is still in pre-production.
The trio join series' lead Toby Stephens (Bond villain in Pierce Brosnan's "Die Another Day") who will portray Flint, as well as "Hotel Rwanda"'s Hakeem Kae Kazim as Mr. Scott, "Crownies"' Toby Schmitz as Rackham, and Clara Paget ("One Day," "Fast & The Furious 6") as Anne Bonny. Arnold will join the crew as John Silver, Kennedy will portray a young prostitute named Max who sees the dark side of New Providence. McGowan will take on the antagonist role of rival Captain Charles Vane to Stephens’ Captain Flint.
The series, from Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes, is set to debut on Starz in 2014.
