Hurricane Sandy relief concert scheduled for December

A gigantic concert is scheduled to rock Manhattan next month.

Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, The Who, Jon Bon Jovi, Alicia Keys, Roger Waters and Paul McCartney have all been announced to be participants in the "12-12-12" concert, which is being done to benefit the people in the New York City area that are rebuilding after the devastating Hurricane Sandy. John Sykes, New York Knicks owner James Dolan and movie producer Harvey Weinstein are producing the show - the trio worked together on the 9/11 "Concert For New York City."

"The response from the entertainment community to help those most affected by Hurricane Sandy has been nothing short of astounding," wrote the producers in a statement.

The concert is scheduled to take place from Madison Square Garden, the most famous arena in the world. It will be streamed online and broadcast live on at least one network (we are a TV news site after all).

The concert is projected to bring in eight figures in relief money. More big names are expected to be added to the concert as it draws nearer.

Ticket information is scheduled to be released soon. We will keep you informed on what network (s) are airing the show, as soon as it is announced.
