With November sweeps barely in their rear view, CBS is doubling down on its top shows for February.

The network has revealed plans for a two part crossover event which will see the teams of "CSI" and "CSI:NY" joining forces for crime that rocks both groups to their foundations. On "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," Detective Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise) will come to Las Vegas to surprise his girlfriend, only to find that she is missing. He enlists the help of D.B. Russell (Ted Danson) and his Vegas CSI unit in order to find her on the kick-off Wednesday February 6th episode.
On Friday, February 8th, the search continues, as Russell heads to New York to help Taylor, who struggles to avoid breaking protocol when things get personal. Despite having caught one of the men responsible for the kidnapping, Taylor and Russell still need to determine whether Christina is still alive.
While "CSI" has had crossovers with "CSI: Miami" and "Without A Trace" in the past, this will mark the first time "CSI: NY" has gotten in on the action. It marks a continuation of the network's strategy of crossing over their bigger hits, already done when "Hawaii Five-0" and "NCIS: Los Angeles" crossed over last season.
