We're a month into 'The Vampire Diaries' fourth season and the show seems poised to survive even after the close of the 'Twilight' feature film franchise that launched the vampire craze years ago. Now, the CW drama has brought in two actors for at least two episodes with the option for recurring roles afterwards: Camille Guaty and Charlie Bewly.
The lovely Guaty has appeared in 'Prison Break' and 'Las Vegas' (with recent guest appearances on 'Friends with Benefits' and 'Breakout Kings'). Guaty also recurs as a guest voice talent on 'Family Guy.' On 'The Vampire Diaries' she will play Caitlin, a woman from Professor Shane's past (Shane is played by David Alpay). Shane has been helping Bonnie (Kat Graham) to relearn magic, but fans of the series know Shane cannot necessarily be trusted. Maybe the coming of Caitlin (Guaty) will shed some light on Shane's intentions?
Charlie Bewly will be double-dipping in blood-suckers with this role on 'The Vampire Diaries,' having played Demitri the vampire in the 'Twilight' films. Bewly will play a character named Vaughn on 'The Vampire Diaries;' little is known about the role aside from Vaughn being rough and rugged. Could Vaughn be one of the vampire hunters Klaus is seeking?
Both characters will make their debut in the lucky thirteenth episode of this new season. 'The Vampire Diaries' airs Thursdays at 8:00PM EST on the CW.
